Working Effectively with Emerging Markets: Brazil

Brazil, one of the world’s 10 biggest economies, poses challenges and opportunities for both businesses and individuals. For most Brazilians, time is more fluid and less exact than it is for most Americans. In Brazil, starting times, ending times, and how much time is allocated to the business at hand are all highly variable, and are not seen as important as Americans typically see them. As for communication styles, Brazilians tend to prioritize relationships over tasks, and consider time spent on building relationships to be a worthwhile investment.
