Kuni Yasutake

Kuni Yasutake, M.A. is an intercultural communication and engagement specialist and a professionally trained coach for managers of multicultural teams. She has 15+ years of experience providing action-oriented DEI training designed to improve staff productivity by enhancing the intercultural competencies of diverse professionals.
Prior to her consulting career, Kuni gained significant insight into the cross-cultural challenges of global workers through her work experience both in Japan and the U.S. in various industries such as international food trade and international scholar exchange. Kuni is an advocate for sustainable DEI efforts, change management, multicultural workplace wellness, staff-centered management, student-centered learning, and customer/patient-centered care. Her past projects have supported businesspeople in global corporate environments as well as executives of non-profit/governmental organizations.
In addition to her consulting career, Kuni has taught courses at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth Business School on Managing Diversity and Advanced Organizational Behavior. She is also active in serving grassroots initiatives that address racial inequity and promote diversity and inclusion in education and healthcare. Kuni is a Tokyo native and currently resides in Rhode Island with her husband.
